I woke up one morning and realized that my five year anniversary had past, five years of living in New York. September 30th is my anniversary date and I've been making moves everyday and I've had to stop and smell the roses.
Wow 5 years! I never would have imagined that I would be here for this long fa real fa real.
I am grateful!
I feel like I took a big step back so I could take a giant leap forward, for myself as a woman, and as an artist. I have experienced challenges I couldn't foresee and I've learned a lot of life lessons that have made me an even stronger person.
I am very ambitious, but even I have my days where I just want to say F it! But the higher power continues to have my back from all angles.
At this point in my life, there is less self doubt.
I learned that as soon as you doubt yourself, you set yourself up for setback and then have to learn more lessons, to ensure that you don't doubt yourself again.
Believe me, it takes time for the lessons to be over.
No more am I standing in my own way, I've seen the light and I'm taking what's mine with no apology... Thank you New York for believing in me and my art, but most importantly, helping me find who I truly am with no doubt about it.
